I have been working with individuals, couples and family members as a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist in a variety of professional settings. At The Jean Tweed Centre, I counselled women coping with addiction to substances, gambling and video gaming and related mental health challenges. I provided therapy to health care providers experiencing trauma, anxiety and other emotional challenges resulting from COVID-19 through the Ontario COVID-19 Mental Health Network.
As a consultant with RCM Health Consultancy, I collaborated with a team of health care providers consisting of doctors, nurses and psychiatrists to customize holistic outpatient treatment plans to help individuals, couples and families struggling with complex mental health and substance use issues. I also developed and facilitated customized workshops for companies with topics ranging from the mental health impacts of COVID-19 to how to become a trauma informed workplace.
Currently, in my private practice, I provide therapy to individuals, couples and families struggling with a variety of mental health issues, with a focus on three areas:
- Coping with Chronic Illness
- Relationship Therapy
- Sex Therapy
In addition to these specialty areas, I also work with clients who are struggling with various mental health and daily life challenges such as anxiety and depression.
